OP06.09: Does fetal growth predict low birthweight in suspected late fetal growth restriction?

چکیده

To evaluate the prediction of low birth weight (BW) using longitudinal individual fetal growth measurement in suspected late restriction (FGR). This is a secondary analysis from multicentre observational study (TRUFFLE2) April 2017 to July 2018.Women at 32–36 weeks with suspect FGR (estimated (EFW) p40) were monitored by 2-weekly biometry and Doppler assessment. Umbilico-cerebral ratio (UCR) ≥ 0.9 was classified as abnormal categorised for gestational age (GA) (32-33, 34-36 37 weeks) first value never abnormal. Individual calculated regression all available EFW measurements each fetus least two measurements. The probability BW < 1500g, 2000g 2500g logistic MoM inclusion either UCR GA categories, (gr/week) both independent parameters. A Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve area under (AUC) computed. 696 856 included women (17 infants major congenital abnormality excluded) had more EFW. Table 1 shows AUC 95% confidence limits sensitivity specificity 80%, ROC graph additional parameter. Fetal categories similarly effective but combining did not improve prediction. values approximately below 1500-2000 g. repeated allows fairly reliable very BW. evidence cerebral redistribution does

sildenafil citrate in fetal growth restriction

background: pregnancies with early onset fetal growth restriction have poor perinatal outcome. sildenafil citrate (pde -5 inhibitor) as a vasodilator increases uteroplacental blood flow and potentiates fetal growth. case presentation: in this study, a case was examined and sildenafil was administered for her. it was found that sildenafil improved the uterine blood flow with a favorable fetal ou...

Neurodevelopment after fetal growth restriction.

Fetal growth restriction (FGR) can emerge as a complication of placental dysfunction and increases the risk for neurodevelopmental delay. Marked elevations of umbilical artery (UA) Doppler resistance that set the stage for cardiovascular and biophysical deterioration with subsequent preterm birth characterize early-onset FGR. Minimal, or absent UA Doppler abnormalities and isolated cerebral Dop...

Early onset fetal growth restriction

Fetal growth restriction (FGR) diagnosed before 32 weeks is identified by fetal smallness associated with Doppler abnormalities and is associated with significant perinatal morbidity and mortality and maternal complications. Recent studies have provided new insights into pathophysiology, management options and postnatal outcomes of FGR. In this paper we review the available evidence regarding d...

Does fetal growth restriction influence body composition at school age?

OBJECTIVE To assess the influence of low birth weight in full-term infants on body composition at school age. METHOD This is a cross-sectional study nested in a cohort of 375 infants recruited at birth between 1993 and 1994 in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. At 8 years of age, the body composition of 213 children from this cohort was assessed by measurement of triceps and subscapular skinfol...
